The Republic Commando website lists the pistol as the DC-15 s and the Revenge of the Sith Visual Dictionary says the carbine is the DC-15 S. It says in Star Wars Insider #84, in the article Behind the Armor, that the carbine is in the DC-15 family.I think the best way to do the article is to make the DC-15s the pistol, DC-17 the carbine. The DC-17m is not derived from the DC-17 pistol, they just use similar parts, sort of like the DC-15A and the DC-15S - CC-1138 20:56, 5 November 2005 (UTC).Why would a carbine be derived from a pistol rather than from another carbine?

I'm sorry that I changed so much of the page, but if you check the sources I put down, most of what I put is correct.

The commandos used the same equipment, save for their armor, which was a specialized version of it. Īfter the Clone Wars ended and the Galactic Empire formed, the Special Operations Brigade was disbanded and redirected to the 501st Legion and the Imperial Commando Special Unit. He killed the the comrade of the owner, discovering that the two were Covert operations clone troopers, Moz and Olun, which he lamented and blamed himself, although it was ARC Lieutenant Sull's. ĭarman used the weapon in 20 BBY, after shooting it's owner with his own weapon.
Sev used the weapon every now and again, although stating that it was not his favorite weapon, he appreciated that it did not run out of ammo in a firefight. Boss used the weapon on several occasions, including the First Battle of Geonosis, Mission to Chaykin Cluster and the Mission to Kashyyyk. The weapon was used by Republic commandos during the Clone Wars. After the seven shots, the wielder had to wait for recharge of energy for at least one shot to fire again. The DC-15s recharged at a round per second, capable of seven consecutive shots with the energy fully charged. While not as powerful as the DC-15S blaster carbine or DC-15A blaster rifle weapons, the side arm came in handy in close quarters, or when conserving ammunition was vitally necessary.
The side arm was a blaster pistol that fired charged plasma bolts.
